ABOUT THE EVENT
Liberty Magic is a nonprofit (501(c)(3)) performance venue located at 811 Liberty Avenue, nestled in the heart of Pittsburgh’s Cultural District and operated by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Since opening its doors in 2019, Liberty Magic has become a nationally recognized destination for lovers of close-up magic and intimate performances.
Designed as a boutique, speakeasy-style theater with less than 70 seats, Liberty Magic offers a uniquely immersive experience where world-class artists and magicians perform mere feet from the audience. Shows run year-round, with ticket prices kept intentionally accessible to support the Trust’s goal of making high-quality arts experiences available to all.
Since 1984 Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s mission has been rooted in making the arts accessible, engaging, and essential to the community—providing a platform for diverse voices and creative disciplines across theater, music, dance, visual arts, film, and more. Acoustic Tuesday is part of the Downtown Neighbors Alliance’s Liberty Avenue Project, a community-driven initiative to revitalize Liberty Avenue through arts, culture, and nightlife. Our goal is to reintroduce downtown Pittsburgh as a lively, welcoming destination—not just a place people pass through, but a place they stay, explore, and return to.
By partnering with venues like Liberty Magic and organizations like the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, we're working to bring fresh energy to Liberty Ave—one live show, small business, and night out at a time. From local music to new retail to upcoming taprooms and salons, this is just the beginning of a more vibrant downtown.
