ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Downtown Neighbors Alliance is working on revitalizing Liberty Avenue by improving street lighting and attracting a diverse mix of commercial activity. The current presence of vape shops, illegal drug sales, and a generally dreary atmosphere has raised concerns among downtown residents, making redevelopment a pressing need. Given its prime location between Market Square and the Cultural District, Liberty Avenue holds significant potential for commercial retail growth.

Our vision includes bringing in…

  • Retail stores

  • Restaurants

  • Unique shops

  • Entertainment options such as

    • Comedy venues

    • Live music

    • Theatre performances

Increasing office occupancy is also a key focus to boost daily foot traffic and economic activity. Example additions like tech companies, women’s clothing stores, and a new coffee shop illustrate the kind of vibrant, community-friendly businesses that could transform the area into a destination for locals and visitors alike.
