The Downtown Neighbors Alliance is working on revitalizing Liberty Avenue by improving street lighting and attracting a diverse mix of commercial activity. The current presence of vape shops, illegal drug sales, and a generally dreary atmosphere has raised concerns among downtown residents, making redevelopment a pressing need. Given its prime location between Market Square and the Cultural District, Liberty Avenue holds significant potential for commercial retail growth.

A new grocery store is coming to Downtown Pittsburgh, the Downtown Neighbors Alliance announced Tuesday.
The new store, Well Well Market, is expected to open at 817 Liberty Ave.
