Consumer Alert Issued for Downtown Pittsburgh Restaurant

Written by Elisabeth Kay

A consumer alert was issued by the Allegheny County Health Department last Wednesday for a downtown restaurant. The restaurant has ten days from their last citation before their next inspection, and may be at the risk of closure.

Christos Mediterranean Grille, located at 106 6th Street, was cited for live roaches in the kitchen and dining area, as well as mouse droppings and mouse traps within the facility. Several different types of roaches were cited, in different instars. You can access the full inspection report here.

The Downtown Neighbors Alliance (DNA) is dedicated to keeping downtown residents safe and healthy– it’s important to keep aware of different downtown facilities and their cleanliness in order to do so.
