Being a pet owner is a commitment, but a wonderful one. One of the biggest decisions as a pet owner is choosing the right groomer for your furry friend. The lack of options in the Golden Triangle makes this much more difficult– but not anymore. The DNA is proud to have helped Keeta’s Pet Salon secure a new location right in the heart of the Golden Triangle.
Keeta’s Pet Salon was born in Squirrel Hill as a family run, women and black owned business. Co-Owner Monique recalls naming the business after their late Shar Pei, Keeta: “As she aged she faced significant health challenges and we were blessed to find amazing support for her. We wanted to pay that forward and support all pets in the best way we can.” And that’s what the mission of their business is– providing pet owners with solace knowing that their pets are left in caring hands during their grooming process.
They stand out from other groomers as they offer one on one grooming services, just like a haircut for yourself. The appointment will start with a consultation to ensure that the cut and groomer are just right for your pet. The one on one care builds a bond with your pet and groomer, and Monique recalls pets recognizing their groomers outside of the salon, before the pet owners even recognize them.
Customers of Keeta’s can’t help but rave about the care their pets receive. Many have expressed immense gratitude as groomers have found lumps on furry friends that could be increasingly dangerous if gone unnoticed– because of situations like this, some customers have called or written in to simply express their love to the team for all of the care and attention they make sure to give the pets.
This business is one downtown has been needing for a while, and Keeta’s staff are more than ready to be welcomed into the Golden Triangle with open arms. DNA is more than excited and proud to be helping them with this expansion, and are excited for pets to get the care they need, close to home.
