Venture Outdoors: Downtown After Dark

See The Golden Triangle from a whole new perspective and get out on the water after dark with Venture Outdoors! You can come along for the ride, whether you’re an experienced kayaker or still getting used to the paddles. 

Get outside and catch the last taste of summer out on the water, where you can paddle along the sides of the river and soak in the nighttime city skyline. Your designated trip leader will guide you along the route, teaching you how to navigate Pittsburgh’s rivers while giving you facts about our city and its distinct rivers. 

You’ll have the choice to either stick with the kayak or get on a stand-up paddle board, but either way, you have to have some experience on the water to take off on this outing!

The first Downtown After Dark outing is on August 16th, 2025 at 8:30pm, but expect to be on the water for about two hours. Come down to their new dock and launch downtown, just outside of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center on the Allegheny River, and catch some of Pittsburgh's greatest night views while on the water!
