Acoustic Tuesdays Presents: Megan Paullet and Oliver Hufford
Written by Arlo Grey MacFarland
This upcoming Tuesday, October 14, 2025, the Downtown Neighbors Alliance (DNA) will host its second weekly Acoustic Tuesdays concert. Hosted at Liberty Magic located at 811 Liberty Ave., the first concert lit up the rainy night with soulful music from artists and best friends Ellen Perkins and Sarah Fair.
On the 14th, the DNA will host musicians Oliver Hufford and Megan Paullet. Both artists hail from Pittsburgh, but each draws from greatly different genres. Paullet is a multi-genre singer-songwriter who takes great inspiration from Joni Mitchell, Aretha Franklin and Frank Zappa. Hufford, on the other hand, is an indie rock artist who found his love of music from artists like Owl City and Mumford and Sons.
Releasing music online since 2020, Paullet aims to transform “emotions and experiences into inventive lyrics and captivating melodies,” her website writes. Paullet has worked with numerous organizations both in and out of the Pittsburgh area, namely the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Performing on nearly every stage in the city, Paullet is sure to bring you a delightful blend of music at the next show.
Oliver Hufford started writing music in 2019, helping him get through the COVID-19 pandemic into 2021. He released his first single in 2022 titled “BLISTERS.” Playing venues such as Carnegie Stage, Millvale Music Festival and 222 Ormsby. Currently anticipating a new album, Hufford is excited to perform for you on Tuesday.
You don’t want to miss this event. Despite the rain on October 7, Liberty Magic was illuminated with music and good vibes. Laughing with the artists as they play makes for a truly different concert experience. As stated before, this event is free and open to the public, intended to build community and third spaces downtown.
