Acoustic Tuesdays Musician Spotlight: Dany Vavrek and The Wild Honeys

Want to watch two extraordinary acts performing at next week’s Acoustic Tuesdays performance? Then come on down to the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust‘s very own Liberty Magic, located at 811 Liberty Avenue, on March 10th from 7:00-9:00 p.m!

Dany Vavrek, who started playing guitar around age 12, will be the first set from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Vavrek states that he wants “to bring people together to forget all about life for a while and focus on the pure enjoyment of music,” meaning DNA guests are in for a treat. He grew up listening to genres like rock, folk, and Americana, which have all inspired him to perform, connect to others, and express himself.

Although Dany focuses on covers, his first band, Further Gone, was all about sharing emotional experiences and uncertainties. If you want to feel like you’re living in the moment, Dany is perfect artist for you. Check out his work on Instagram, Facebook, and Spotify.

The Wild Honeys, a couple named Tony and Helena, will perform the second set from 8:00-9:00 p.m. They met at Tony’s open mic event and have been together ever since. Hellie played so well that Tony became hooked, so they started practicing in various parks for hours on end, strengthening their bond.

The couple is inspired by artists like Johnny Cash, June Carter, and Sierra Ferrell, as well as the genres of Bluegrass and other Appalachian music. While Tony plays the acoustic guitar, Hellie complements him with her vocals, creating an enchanting night for everyone.
