Arts Landing Construction Begins in Downtown Pittsburgh
Written by Christine Julia Dingzon
Construction is underway on Arts Landing, a new $31 million outdoor entertainment space in Downtown Pittsburgh. Located between Penn Avenue and Fort Duquesne Boulevard, the 4-acre site will feature a performance bandshell, a great lawn, pickleball courts, a running track, a garden walk, and a play area.
This project is led by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and is part of a broader $600 million plan to revitalize Downtown. There will also be progress on upgrading Market Square, Point State Park, and the Allegheny Riverfront Park, which are all set to be complete before Pittsburgh hosts the 2026 NFL Draft.
Arts Landing is specifically designed to be a year-round space for all residents and visitors. It will host events like The Three River Arts Festival and other seasonal events. Once it’s finished, the space is expected to boost public engagement and offer new, fun recreational opportunities, and play a huge part in the ongoing effort to make Downtown more vibrant and welcoming.
