Where to Find a Cold Craft Beer Downtown
Written by Elisabeth Kay
Downtown Pittsburgh is great, but can be even greater with an ice-cold beer– bonus points if that beer is on tap. If you’ve got a thirst you haven’t quite quenched, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Do yourself and your taste buds a favor, and check out this list of the best places downtown to get a fresh beer on tap.
Redbeard’s, which is located at 144 Sixth Street, is the go-to place in the Golden Triangle for all things sports, but it also offers cold draft beers to pair with any game you’re tuned into. If you stop by before a Sunday Steeler’s game, buckets of Miller Light drafts are 5 for $20! Enjoy the game with Steel City Spirit and a good beer.

If you’re looking for a local brew, City Works has 30+ beers on tap for you to choose from. Make sure to stop in soon to try the local sour beer on their seasonal list, Kaboom Candy: Prickly Pear + Pineapple. They offer a range of beers and ale on tap throughout the year, so there will always be a new one for you to try!
The Yard may be known for their delicious grilled cheeses, but an amazing pairing is a beer from their giant selection of drafts. In Market Square at 100 Fifth Avenue, a 36-tap rotation is at your disposal, with local and domestic craft beers. Get your fix of anything from an IPA to lager next time you’re in!
