Join the Fun on Building Bridges Day

Something that makes Pittsburgh so special is the community that lives within it. People from different backgrounds are neighbors, allowing for a vibrant and unique community within and outside of the city. Building Bridges Day celebrates this diversity downtown, and you can be part of it!

Organized by Ebtehal Badawi, Building Bridges Day is a celebration of the diversity and differences that live among residents and visitors of Pittsburgh. This year will be the third year the annual Building Bridges Event is brought to downtown Pittsburgh, taking place August 23rd from 9 AM-1 PM on the Roberto Clemente Bridge.

This celebration is sure to knock your socks off and raise your expectations of street festivals in the future. While it offers food vendors and live music, it will also showcase a number of performances celebrating cultures from all around the world, and vendors selling school supplies to prepare for the busy back-to-school season.

Activities will also be featured and encouraged, such as mural painting and active community dialogues. This event is an amazing opportunity to get to know the people who surround you in a respectful, inviting setting. Plan for a morning of fun on Building Bridges Day!
