Written by Amanda Buchman
The Byham Theater has been a staple in Downtown Pittsburgh since 1903, when it was called the Gayety Theater. Its 1,300 seats have seen countless performances, from musical theater and dance to contemporary films. The year 2025 may be coming to an end, but at the Byham, there are still memories to be made.
The incredible Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show will come and go on November 28. These award-winning comedians, actors, writers, and drag queens put on a spectacle you won’t forget.
Elmo & Friends Say Hello to families on Sunday, November 30. Elmo and his friends from Sesame Street sing, dance, and play while audience members help spot Elmo’s puppy, Tango, in a game of hide-and-seek. Enjoy the celebration! There will also be a photo opportunity for you and your child to make lasting memories of your visit.
Mark Milovats’ Christmas Wonderland features singer and showman Mark Milovats along with the Santa Belle Dancers, Holiday Pops Orchestra, live penguins, and mystery celebrity guests. The spectacular set will include classics like “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” as well as pop songs such as “Copacabana” and “My Way.”
Finally, A Musical Christmas Carol owns the stage from December 1 to 23, elevating a classic story with everyone’s favorite Christmas music. Pittsburgh CLO is thrilled to welcome Tony Award-winning Denis O’Hare as Scrooge!
