Acoustic Tuesdays: Another Great Night!

Written by Elisabeth Kay

On Tuesday, November 18th, the Downtown Neighbors Alliance (DNA)  hosted our last Open Mic Night of our Acoustic Tuesdays series of this year– and it did NOT disappoint. With three outstanding performances, and a full house in Liberty Magic, we could not have asked for a better way to spend our Tuesday night.

The first performers to take the stage were members of the PC Comedy group. This Chinese comedy group, full of PhD students and workers, had five of their comedians take the stage to give their first fully-English performance, and it couldn’t have been better! The full crowd shared laughs, starting the night out on the right foot.

Next, Paige Bosic took the stage with her guitar and blew the audience away. She performed a mix of original songs and covers, giving the audience both familiarity and something new. Her voice was mesmerizing, and she left the audience wanting more.

We ended the night with poet Shockie G, who read originally written poetry for the crowd. Their words were enough to make you laugh or cry, but most importantly, it was poetry that will stick with our audience for a while.

Next week, December 2nd, is our last Acoustic Tuesdays show of 2025! We’re excited to welcome Anne Eliza and Bobby Taylor to the Liberty Magic stage to finish out an amazing series of concerts.

Putting on Acoustic Tuesdays has been something that the DNA is extremely proud of. Bringing live performances downtown, and filling the crowd week after week has been one of our greatest achievements yet. We’re looking forward to continuing these shows downtown, to grow and revitalize the downtown community!
