Date Night in The Strip

Written by Viktoria Sako

Home to many of Pittsburgh’s hidden gems, The Strip District is the perfect place to go on your next night out with that special someone. Grab your partner and head down to “The Strip” where you’ll find an array of cuisines to try, countless casual and cozy cocktail lounges, and activities to keep you and your date entertained all throughout the evening.

Start off your evening with a trolley tour from Molly’s Trolley's, which will take you and your partner on a “All About the Burgh, the Culture to Ketchup Tour” all over Pittsburgh, starting in The Strip. Sit and relax with your partner as you ride through Pittsburgh’s most historical districts and best sight-seeing views, all on a 1920s-style trolley, which was once a staple of transportation in Pittsburgh.

In the mood to be active? Head over to the Puttery, where you’ll have an immersive put-put experience, each course transporting you to a unique location, with a specialty cocktail to match. Puttery is also a great spot for a double date, so bring your friend and their partner along for the fun!

If you’re out on “Thirsty Thursday”, check out Aslin Beer Co. for a weekly trivia event that’s completely free to play. Grab your partner and one of their craft beers that range from being flavorful IPA’s to Sour Ale’s, with select beers being brewed right here in Pittsburgh! More of a wine drinker? No worries! Head out to City Winery and grab one of their flights, glasses, or bottles of your favorite wine or try out something new! They have wines on tap along with bottle selects, but if the night is really special, you can ask about their reserve and international wine list.

Want to keep your night intimate with your special someone? Look no further than Cellars Speakeasy in The Strip— a perfect place to grab cocktails and some tasty bites as the interior ambiance transports you to the 1920’s. Cozy up with your partner inside the rocky walls, and eat meals that’ll take you back in time, like a Crab Cake Dinner or Veal Scallopini Pizzaiola, all while sipping on uniquely mixed drinks, like their rum-based Three Dots & A Dash.
