Take a Bite at Soul Food Festival!
Written by Elisabeth Kay
Are you looking for a bite to eat that’s so tasty it makes your mouth water? Something unfamiliar to you, but you’re craving it anyways? Head to Market Square and celebrate Labor Day Weekend with that meal that you didn’t know you needed during Pittsburgh’s Soul Food Festival.
More than 100 small businesses are joining to celebrate black owned businesses and restaurants in downtown Pittsburgh. The choices are nearly endless as you decide what you want to eat, and there’s a guarantee that there’s a dish for everyone. Live music and activities, such as a Barbeque eating contest, will roar through Market Square as the community comes together to experience delicious food and a vibrant, fun time.
The festival will be open from 11 AM-11 PM on August 29th-August 31st, a weekend-long celebration and feast. Admission is free, and this is an event you don’t want to miss out on!
