Pittsburgh’s Downtown Neighbors Alliance (DNA) is welcoming November with a dazzling show of reimagined rock music lit up by the glow of candlelight. In just a few weeks, on November 1st at 8 PM, you can enjoy an amazing night out downtown and attend DNA’s Candlelight Crescendo concert! We’ve got some ideas for some delicious dinner stops as you make your way to Pittsburgh Playhouse’s Highmark Theatre for some amazing music.
Revel, located at 242 Forbes Avenue just before Market Square, has an amazing menu of American dishes and specialty cocktails. Their menu ranges from pastas, to flatbreads, to burgers and handhelds, and they offer a mix of classics and flavors you might have never tried before.
If you’re in the mood for Asian cuisine, Yuzu Kitchen is the place to dine. On 409 Wood Street, this Japanese Fusion restaurant offers brilliantly named cocktails and mocktails such as “Industry Plant,” or, “Please be Quiet,” while also giving the option of dealer’s choice if everything looks too enticing. Pair these delectable drinks with one of their mouthwatering ramen dishes or rice bowls, and you’re set to have the perfect night.
If you’re more in the mood for sushi, Sushi I is offering 20% off with proof of a ticket to Candlelight Crescendo. Their new menu will be debuting soon, and their reputation of amazing food precedes them. Make sure to stop by 245 Fourth Avenue for heavenly food at a discounted price!
Vallozzi’s is sure to soothe any craving for Italian cuisine you might have. A taste of Tuscany is nuzzled at 220 Fifth Avenue, and is sure to bring a sensation to your tastebuds like never before. Their pasta dishes are made according to family recipes, including you into their family traditions and flavors. Pair your dish with a bottle of wine from their abundant selection, and come to Candlelight Crescendo with a stomach full of love.
There’s so much to eat downtown, but we hope this list allows for some ideas to get your dinner plans started! We can’t wait to see you at Highmark Theatre on November 1st for a night of amazing music in the city!
