Get Moving This Weekend With Downtown Pittsburgh’s Walking Club!
Written by Arlo Grey MacFarland
This weekend, Saturday, October 25, 2025, The Downtown Neighbors Alliance’s Living Well Initiative will kick off its Walking Club! As part of this initiative, the walking club encourages regular exercise and community-building activities in the downtown area. Helping to create another third space downtown, the DNA’s walking club is a free, all-ages, and dog-friendly group.
We will meet in Mellon Square at 10 a.m. sharp, and the walking route will take us around the downtown area, over to the North Shore, and back, ending at Mellon Square Coffee. With the help of two walking guides, you’ll see numerous historic sites of Pittsburgh!
During the walk, we encourage you to go on a digital scavenger hunt with us by posting one of our eight downtown features! Tag the account @pittsburghdna and include #WalkDowntownPGH in your caption. Those who participate will be entered into a drawing for free tickets to our upcoming Candlelight Crescendo event on November 1, 2025.
If you’re looking for a reason to get out and get some exercise, then you are invited to join the DNA at its first Walking Club event! You can RSVP for the event on zeffy. We are always planning for more events as part of the Living Well Initiative, so if you have any ideas or suggestions, feel free to fill out this form.
