Get Moving This Weekend With Downtown Pittsburgh’s Walking Club!
This weekend, Saturday, October 25, 2025, The Downtown Neighbors Alliance’s Living Well Initiative will kick off its Walking Club! As part of this initiative, the walking club encourages regular exercise and community-building activities in the downtown area. Helping to create another third space downtown, the DNA’s walking club is a free, all-ages, and dog-friendly group.

DNA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making downtown Pittsburgh a safer, healthier, and more vibrant place to live. With major projects such as the Liberty Ave. project and the Living Well Initiative, we’re embracing fresh new ideas to breathe life into the area.
Did You Know That DNA Is An RCO?
A Registered Community Organization (RCO) is a non-profit that works to improve the quality of life in the neighborhoods it represents. In Downtown Pittsburgh, there are only two RCOs: Downtown Neighbors Alliance (DNA) and Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership (PDP). It is DNA’s duty to promote the interests of downtown residents as the city continues to develop.
Proposed Legislation Plans to Slow the Rise of Vape Shops in Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh residents and community leaders have expressed great discontent with the staggering number of vape shops throughout the city. Around thirty of them are clustered downtown, with several along Liberty Ave. As these shops often target youth and low income families, public health concerns are growing amidst preexisting disparities.
