Discover Your Potential with a DNA Internship

The Downtown Neighbors Alliance (DNA) offers exciting internship opportunities in Marketing, Urban Planning, Event Planning, and Copywriting. These programs are designed for students and emerging professionals who want to gain valuable experience while contributing to meaningful projects in the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh.

DNA is more than just a non-profit; it’s a place where creativity, community, and professional growth come together. Our interns do not just watch from the sidelines, but are actively involved in the work we do every day. From conducting interviews and researching local stories to designing digital content and supporting community events, interns play a vital role in bringing DNA’s mission to life.

Our internships are in-person and unpaid, but the professional experience, hands-on skills, and community connections you gain are truly priceless. In roles like copywriting, interns take on a variety of creative and strategic projects, like writing articles, managing website content, and contributing to design and branding initiatives. This work goes far beyond building a portfolio; it's about using your skills to inform, inspire, and connect with the community.

Three of our recent copywriting interns, Elisabeth Kay, Madeline Milchman, and Tori Sako, reflected on their time with DNA and the impact it has had on their growth:

Their stories highlight what makes a DNA internship so rewarding: the opportunity to develop your skills, expand your network, and contribute to meaningful work in Downtown Pittsburgh.
