Premium Haircare in the Heart of Downtown: The Golden Triangle Barber Shop
Written by Elisabeth Kay
In the basement of the historic Koppers Building, located at 436 Seventh Avenue, sits The Golden Triangle Barber Shop. Hailing from London, Julian Tancredi and his business partner, Belinda Tancredi, bring top tier men’s hair care to the heart of downtown. The Downtown Neighbors Alliance (DNA) is incredibly excited to welcome them as our newest business member!

Julian’s haircare journey began at the Barber School of Pittsburgh, and then moved to barbershops in the suburbs– but he was always drawn to downtown Pittsburgh. Luckily, an opening in the Koppers Building found him: “It was love at first sight,” he recalls, and opened the Golden Triangle Barber Shop in 2023. Now, his shop fits right into the beautiful city center of downtown, and he’s proud and excited to be part of downtown’s growth into a vibrant, thriving community.
Building a relationship with the downtown community is Tancredi’s main goal and number one priority as a small business downtown. He’s determined to put in the time and effort to ensure that his store gives the downtown community what it needs and wants, which is adaptability. To accommodate this, you can book an appointment online, over the phone, or simply walk in. “We did 50/50 walk-ins and appointments today,” he reflects.
Being in the heart of downtown, he’s seeing the residential and working community grow day by day. Most of his clients are downtown residents, but he also gets many people coming from work or other downtown activities, such as conventions. He can see his business grow as the residential downtown grows, and he’s so excited to be part of it.

At the Golden Triangle Barber Shop, you can get traditional barber shop service, which includes classic and modern haircuts, welcoming all different styles and types of hair given the different demographics of downtown Pittsburgh’s community. Additionally, they offer full face shaves and beard trims. They sell high quality products in store, as Tancredi aims for this to be a “one stop shop” for all haircare needs.

“An average day working in the barber shop consists of, hopefully, making everybody happy, and giving every customer our undivided attention,” Tancredi states, emphasizing the heart of his business. With refreshments to enjoy, a TV in view, calming jazz music playing, and getting undivided attention in a clean, amazingly decorated space, you’re sure to leave your haircut feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Next time you’re in need of a trim, or a complete make over, make sure to check out the Golden Triangle Barber Shop– you won’t be disappointed.
