Picklesburgh Is Returning This July, and It’s a Very Big Dill

Written by Cassie St. John

Picklesburgh is back and better than ever! Coming this summer, Picklesburgh is ready to celebrate all things pickles Downtown. For this year, the festival is bringing back its Thursday start day, so the event spans over four days from July 16-19. Picklesburgh will run from 12-10 pm on Thursday through Saturday, and on Sunday from 12-6 pm.

Vendor applications for 2026 Picklesburgh are now available and can be found here. Specific guidelines and rules for being a vendor can be found here.

The event first started in 2015 and began as just a two-day festival. After over a decade, the fair has now expanded to be a four-day event and has grown in attendance by 1,000%.

Picklesburgh has previously been voted as the Best Specialty Food Festival by USA Today for four years (2019, 2021, 2023, 2025).  The festival is known for its variety of pickle-themed snacks, with items like pickle cotton candy and pickle ice cream being served in previous years.

There are also pickle merch items, live entertainment, and various contests like the annual pickle juice drinking competition.

Although the exact location of the event has yet to be announced, it will be taking place somewhere Downtown, guaranteeing a beautiful view of the city regardless of where it is located. The event is completely free to attend, so no tickets need to be purchased.

This legendary festival is a must for Pittsburgh natives and visitors alike. Make a plan today to celebrate Pittsburgh and celebrate pickles!
