Pittsburgh Musical Theater’s Annie

Written by Allison Bridgwater

The Pittsburgh Musical Theater (PMT) is producing the highly popular and classic Broadway show, Annie. The next opportunity you get, check out the show at the Byham Theater, which is owned by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust (PCT), from February 19 to March 1, 2026.

If you want to hear songs like “Tomorrow,” which is about finding faith in the future, or “Hard Knock Life,” where Annie and the other orphans sing about the hardships in their everyday life, come join them in the Cultural District at 101 Sixth Street, where little orphan Annie and the rest of the crew perform this moving story.

Based on the comic strip by Harold Gray, a talented American cartoonist, the performance is set in 1930s New York City. Annie goes on a journey to find her parents and leave her orphanage, run by the unkind Miss Hannigan.

Sit back and relax as you enjoy how Annie’s life dramatically changes into a grand adventure with her dog, Sandy, and adoptive father, billionaire Oliver Warbucks.

The book and score by Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse, and Martin Charnin have won several Tony awards and include some of the greatest musical hits ever. So why not support young artists' careers as they exhibit their talent and have a grand time?

Don’t wait for tickets to sell out! Get yours now, and watch as you’re brought into the world of a resilient, hopeful girl, Annie! Also, don’t worry if you have a large group of 10+ attending, as there are group tickets options available when you make a reservation.
