Pittsburgh holds a long and rich history in the American film industry. The first ever movie theater, the Nickelodeon, was opened on Smithfield Street Downtown. And since the city’s entrance into the industry, a large amount of movies and series have been filmed in our very own city.

The Byham Theater originally opened in 1904 as a vaudeville theater. In 1930, the theater was transitioned into a movie theater before the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust took it over in 1990. This summer, the theater is hosting an array of comedians and more, guaranteed to make you laugh, relax, and enjoy yourself.
