The Original Pittsburgh Taco Festival
Written by Elisabeth Kay
The Strip District just got more delicious. The Original Taco Festival is coming to the Strip District on Saturday, September 6th, from 12:30-7PM. If you’re a foodie, or just someone who loves to eat, you do not want to miss out on this.
The event is held at The Stacks at 3 Crossings on Railroad Street in the Strip District. Over 25 vendors and food trucks will set up shop, allowing you nearly endless possibilities as you pick out your very best taco to indulge in. The event will also host live music, spanning from contemporary to traditional Latino music. Along with this, salsa dancing will be encouraged, so make sure to warm up your moves!
A handful of kid friendly activities, such as arts and crafts, will also be available and encouraged to participate in– kids should never miss out on tacos! Small businesses and handmade crafts will also be sold and advertised, so you might just find your next favorite local spot!
For the first time, Pittsburgh Taco Fest is fully produced by the Pittsburgh Hispanic Development Corporation. This will increase their community impact while also bringing a new life and authenticity to Taco Fest. Other community organizations and local nonprofits will be at the festival sharing valuable resources and building community outreach.
