Celebrate New Year’s Eve Downtown at First Night

Ring in 2026 at Highmark First Night Pittsburgh, Downtown’s annual arts-focused New Year’s Eve celebration presented by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. The festivities run from 6 p.m. to midnight, ending with the raising of the Future of Pittsburgh Ball and a spectacular fireworks display.

The main event is free and open to the public, though some performances require tickets. Downtown buses, light rail, and inclines are available, but schedules may vary, so plan ahead at rideprt.org. If you’re driving, check real-time parking at parkpgh.org. Dress warmly — temperatures are expected to drop below freezing.

Activities for all ages include the Citizens Activity Zone with crafts and face painting, live ice sculpting of the Pittsburgh skyline, children’s book giveaways, LEGO building, and even tarot card readings.

Live performances feature music, theater, and dance, including the Dollar Bank Battle of the Bands, Brazilian dance groups, a Family Dance Party, and more. Downtown restaurants and food trucks will also be open for snacks and dinner on the go.

Celebrate safely with family and friends, enjoy local arts, and welcome 2026 in style! For the full schedule of performances and activities, visit firstnightpgh.trustarts.org/events.
