You’ll want to stand on two feet for this: Flamingo Fest is back! Join the National Aviary on Sat. Feb 28 and Sun. Mar 1 from 11AM–3PM for flamingo-themed fun inspired by the Aviary’s favorite pink flamboyance.

Purchase of Aviary General Admission tickets gives you access to tons of interactive flamingo opportunities. Watch Wetlands Feeding in the flamingo’s habitat at 11:30AM and 2:30PM. In between feeds, meet a Colorful Avian Ambassador and hear a talk from a flamingo expert to answer all of your burning questions.

If you want to bring home your own souvenir to remember Flamingo Fest’s pink-filled weekend, make sure to register for the Brushes & Birds paint event on Sunday, March 1, from 10:30AM–1:00PM. Maria DeSimone Prascak of mariasideas.com will teach everyone how to paint flamingos wading in Downtown’s iconic Point State Park Fountain. No drawing skills required—a tracer is provided! This activity is open to children ages 8+, and those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Brushes & Birds: Flamingo Fountain tickets are $40 for members, $45 for non-members, and include general admission to the National Aviary.
