Halloween Events in Downtown Pittsburgh

Halloween is, (not so) objectively the best holiday. You get to dress up, watch scary movies, and eat so much sugar you’re regretting it for days. But for many people, myself included, Halloween is a month-long celebration! And Pittsburgh knows how to deliver for the spooky season, here are some Halloween events downtown coming this October!
Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra: Nightmare Before Christmas: 600 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15222
Part of the Symphony’s yearly film/concert hybrids, the orchestra will play along to the soundtrack of the Nightmare Before Christmas as the film is screened. The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra will take you along Jack Skellington’s mission to steal Christmas. Located at Heinz Hall on October 25-26, 2025, tickets are available for purchase on the website linked above.
Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s Dracula: 237 7th St. Pittsburgh, PA 15222
Based on Bram Stoker’s gothic horror classic Dracula, the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre presents a macabre visualization of the story. From October 31 to November 2, 2025 at the Benedum Center, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre will take you on a journey through the mountains of Romania to tell the tragic tale of Dracula.
FallFest at the Pittsburgh Playhouse: 350 Forbes Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15222
Point Park University’s Pittsburgh Playhouse is hosting its annual Fall Fest from October 16-26, 2025. A free, all-ages event with additional tickets available for purchase, Fall Fest offers face paint, dance parties, live performances, and fun for the whole family!
Candlelight: Halloween Classics: 328 Sixth Avenue, Pittsburgh, 15222
On October 24, 2025 at the Trinity Episcopal Church, Candlelight presented its Halloween Classics show. Featuring instrumental pieces of iconic themes like Beetlejuice, Psycho, The Exorcist, and Halloween, this show is sure to bring you chills and thrills this spooky season!
Haunted History Center Halloween: 1212 Smallman St., Pittsburgh, PA 15222
On Sunday, October 26, 2025, the Heinz History Center will host its yearly Halloween event. Kids under 17 are given free admission to explore the museum, embark on a themed scavenger hunt, listen to local folklore and make crafts. This event is fun for the whole family, getting you out of the house and learning about your local history!
Ofrenda Networking Happy Hour: 655 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15222
Celebrate Dia de los Muertos with the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce on October 29th, from 5:30-9 p.m. Hosted at the Greer Cabaret Theater, the artists Alison Zapata and Lisa DiGioia-Nutini created an interactive Ofrenda (familial altar to honor the dead) for the community. Featuring music, food, and themed drinks, this event is sure to bring the warmth of the tradition to the holiday season.
