Momentum in Motion at Point Park University
2025 was a standout year for Point Park University. From record-breaking fall enrollment to growing pre-college summer programs, the university continued to strengthen its place as one of the most dynamic urban campuses in the country. A new economic impact study confirmed what many already know: Point Park plays a vital role in Downtown Pittsburgh and the region’s economy.
This year also brought expanded access and opportunity for students. Point Park introduced a permanent $4,000 Visit Scholarship, launched the Buckeye Fresh Start Scholarship for displaced Ohio students, and established the Susan F. Brussalis Scholarship Fund to honor a lasting legacy of leadership and care for students.
Academically, the university continued to grow. Point Park advanced to year two of the NCAA membership process and created two new schools within the Conservatory of Performing Arts: the School of Dance and the School of Theatre, Film, and Animation. New programs, accelerated degrees, and innovative offerings in education, entertainment production, and screenwriting opened even more doors for students.
Student life also leveled up in 2025. From renovated fitness facilities and new dance studios to championship-winning esports, expanded mental wellness support, and the addition of Women’s Flag Football, Point Park remained focused on student well-being, belonging, and success beyond the classroom.
Community engagement remained a core priority. The opening of the Center for Civic and Community Engagement at 101 Wood Street created a new hub for collaboration between campus and community. Major events brought thousands of visitors Downtown, generating millions in economic impact and reinforcing Point Park’s commitment to revitalizing the city alongside its neighbors.
As Point Park looks ahead, Pioneer Vision 2030 continues to guide growth in program excellence, student experience, and community connection.
