Kind of a Big Dill: Picklesburgh Gets Even Bigger

Get ready, Pittsburgh. Things are about to get delightfully sour. Picklesburgh is rolling back into town from July 11th to the 13th, and this year, it’s definitely bigger, bolder, and brinier than ever. Picklesburgh is celebrating its 10th anniversary on the iconic Sister Bridges, the Andy Warhol and Roberto Clemente, and spreading across Fort Duquesne Boulevard, Market Square, and beyond.

In 2015, Picklesburgh began as a quirky local festival and has grown into a nationally recognized sensation. Last year alone, more than 250,000 pickle lovers poured into downtown, giving hotels, restaurants, and small businesses a juicy economic boost. The 10th anniversary celebration promises to be the largest in Picklesburgh's history.

And yes, the legendary Giant Pickle balloon will proudly hover over the 6th Street Bridge, thanks to the festival’s sponsor, Kraft Heinz. On the ground, vendors will be selling everything from dill-pickle perogies to pickle lemonade, while live music, family activities, and the entertaining pickle juice drinking contest will keep the crowds buzzing! And of course, don’t miss the pun-filled merchandise, because who wouldn’t want a “relish this moment” t-shirt?

A decade in, Picklesburgh is no longer your average food festival but is a full-on cultural phenomenon, so let’s make a big dill about it!
