Power in Performance: First Acoustic Tuesday of 2026

Written by Emma Schramm

Acoustic Tuesdays are back! The first stripped-down performance in this live music series was on January 13 and boasted a great turnout in the intimate Liberty Magic venue. Acoustic Tuesdays showcase the best of up-and-coming Pittsburgh talent, connecting listeners to musicians in a comfortable yet electric setting.

First up was Noah Goisse (@noahgoissemusic on Instagram), a South Hills musician with complete control of his guitar and voice. Moving smoothly between covers and original music, Goisse’s power grew with each song as he performed indie rock-inspired tunes. He ended his performance with a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run,” a classic that captivated the entire crowd. This was Goisse’s second Acoustic Tuesday set, but definitely not his last.

The second performer was Abby Morgan (@abbymorgan1 on Instagram), an indie pop singer-songwriter who showcased her talents on both guitar and piano. She performed her newly-released song “Lovesick,” and other heartfelt tracks, including “Beautiful Trap” and “Young Woman.”

Morgan’s energy on stage was unmatched, making the entire crowd laugh as she explained her musical journey. “I was playing at a bar, watching people instead of them watching me perform. Here, I actually have your attention, so thank you!”

Thanks to both Goisse and Morgan, Liberty Avenue transformed that night into a vibrant hotspot for local entertainment. Built with residents in mind, Acoustic Tuesdays are always free and focused on creating new cultural opportunities for the entire community. Thanks to the incredible generosity of Peoples Gas, this season’s sponsor, 2026 brings 22 new Acoustic Tuesdays to downtown biweekly from 7:00–9:00 PM.

RSVP for the next Acoustic Tuesday on January 27 so you don’t miss out on more great and exceptionally talented performances.
