Another restaurant by Julian Vallozzi, Talia opened in 2017. Located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh at 611 William Penn Pl., Talia offers an open-kitchen concept combining elevated flavors with a casual dining experience.
Tier standout menu items include their new Sweet Potato Gnocchi, Bacon-Wrapped Scallops, and Bucatini Pasta. Alongside this, Talia offers a wine list representing “all 20 regions of Italy,” and a variety of negroni-based cocktails (Talia’s Website).

Last week, the Downtown Neighbors Alliance’s (DNA’s) Business Director, Kiki Yan, visited Talia to try the Bucatini Pasta. The Bucatini is a shrimp pasta in a white wine butter sauce, topped with cherry tomatoes and capers.
“The noodles are hollow and house a lot of sauce, it’s almost like a straw. It was a very interesting texture,” said Yan.
Talia is open Tuesdays-Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 4:00-10:00 p.m. To make a reservation, or order online, visit their website taliapgh.com.
