Can’t Miss Shows at the Greer Cabaret
Written by Willow Shedlock
The Greer Cabaret Theater offers a mix of unforgettable meals, cocktails, and shows. The lounge is available to everyone, show tickets are not required, and it offers upscale food and drinks. Greer Cabaret also has food and drinks delivered directly to your seats, though for the theater itself, a show ticket is required.
Coming back to the Greer once again are their notorious salsa nights! Running from January 21 to March 25, the dance classes begin with a half-hour of beginner-friendly lessons and are followed by three hours of open-floor dance practice. Classes will be run by Jeff and Colleen Shirey, the founders of Salsa Pittsburgh. For only $10, this is a can’t-miss class! So get ready to enjoy great music and hit the dance floor!
A comedy-horror twist on a timeless classic is making its way to the Greer! This zombie rock musical combines the classic tale with a 1980’s setting and music! The musical will be running February 13th and 14th, with tickets costing $64 and accessible seating available!
Broadway performer Jessica Vosk will be performing a mix of musical theater, pop, singer-songwriters, and more! Having both performed as Elphaba in Wicked and sold out Carnegie Hall, her show is not one to miss! So get your tickets for February 16th!
Amy Bruni: Walking with Ghosts
Are you a fan of the paranormal? A skeptic? Or maybe just a fan of true crime? Then get ready for March 6th and 7th at the Greer for paranormal researcher Amy Bruni’s Walking with Ghosts! Bruni will take you on a journey of various hauntings and their subsequent true crime mysteries. Prior to the show, Bruni will have haunted artifacts and spiritualist memorabilia available to view, as well as separate VIP meet and greet tickets so that you can personally ask questions. General admission tickets range from $41 to $64.
Shit-Faced Shakespeare: Hamlet
March 12th to 15th, the Greer will be hosting the Shakespearean tragedy, Hamlet… with a twist! Rather than gloom and doom, watch as the cast gets wasted and do their best to perform drama, treason, and blasphemy with an extra dose of profanity and bare butts! Tickets range from $38 to $68.
