New Restaurant Downtown: The Common Good
Written by Willow Shedlock
The Union Trust Building in Downtown Pittsburgh will be home to a new restaurant called The Common Good, run by Co-Owner of Burgatory and Shorty’s chains, Ritual House, and Palm Palm, Herky Pollock. The restaurant will offer fast, affordable, healthy options for breakfast and lunch Downtown. The Common Good will replace Freshii and will have grain bowls, salads, sandwiches, acai bowls, smoothies, and bakery items.
The Common Good plans to live up to its namesake with a charitable component in which customers can round up their purchases or anonymously buy a meal for someone else. This community aspect allows people who are in need to get a free meal.
Though not yet open, stay tuned for updates!
