Downtown DoubleTree Hotel Incoming Renovation🛎️

The Downtown DoubleTree Hotel is looking at a $13 million renovation by Elmhurst Group. Bill Hunt, the CEO of Elmhurst Group, predicts the updates will be completed before the NFL Draft.

Found next to the U.S. Steel Tower, Duquesne University, and PPG Paints Arena, the hotel dates back to the 1950s and was originally designed as an apartment building.

Upgrades are already underway in the hotel's meeting rooms and lobby. However, the main upgrades are to the rooms themselves. With the hotel totaling over 340 rooms and 130 suites, the plan is to give guests more space, especially for families and groups. There has also been an addition of a bridal suite with makeup tables, full-sized mirrors, and plenty of space to dress.
