Attend the August Wilson African American Cultural Center (AWAACC) Truthsayers: Nia Sioux event, part of the Truthsayers Speaker Series, on February 27th at 7:00 p.m. for $35 to hear Nia Sioux, a New York Times best-selling author, talk about her life. You can even have a chance to meet her during her book signing.

With Black History Month starting this February, it’s important to celebrate and reflect on the life stories of African American individuals who made an impact on our very own city of Pittsburgh.

With February around the corner, the Heinz History Center is presenting its twelfth annual Black History Month Lecture. Their yearly lecture is taking place on Friday, January 30th, from 6:30-7:30pm, with general admission tickets costing only $10.
