This week, the Shapiro Administration announced that Phase 1 of major improvements at Point State Park is officially complete and finished ahead of schedule. Yes, ahead. We love to see it.

Pittsburgh’s iconic Point State Park fountain will stay dry throughout the summer of 2025 as the city prepares for major upcoming events, including the NFL Draft and the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations.

Pennsylvania announced last week that the Commonwealth will be investing $3.4 million to upgrade Point State Park in advance of the NFL Draft in 2026.

Pittsburgh’s three rivers, the Allegheny to the North, the Monogahela to the South, and the Ohio to the West, have shaped the city’s history since before the United States of America was a nation. Visitors can stand at the confluence of these three great rivers in Point State Park.
