Think tnereffiD: Breathe New Life into Downtown with DNA
Written by Viktoria Sako
The DNA's slogan, "Think tnereffiD" is a message that challenges conventions and embraces unique solutions to problems. "Think tnereffiD" isn't just about thinking in a different manner; it's about being fundamentally different in thought. A deeper, more intrinsic perspective and approach that will have Pittsburgh leading the nation in innovation to create a new paradigm for the urban core. "Think tnereffiD" proposes a celebration of Downtown Pittsburgh, and all the bright urban minds who make our city shine.
Our goal is to be inclusive at every turn, to actively listen to our downtown residents, and to collaboratively create a new thinking process that allows the best ideas to surface. We have to analyze successful projects from other urban centers and the innovative community-driven projects that positively shift how the urban space operates. Calling all the people of The Golden Triangle to, “Thinking tnereffiD,” we believe difference in thought is the first step our city needs to take to generate investment and care into a collectively greater Downtown Pittsburgh. Allowing us to see Pittsburgh from a critical perspective, our Downtown residents are our primary source for generating methods of innovation; contributing their time and ideas into renovating and enhancing the core of our city.
This isn’t just a slogan to us. “Think tnereffiD” is who DNA is. This is the spirit we manifest in our community. It guides our thought process, beliefs and aspirations as we continue to rebuild Downtown Pittsburgh post-COVID. We are invested in the quality of life in Downtown Pittsburgh, not just in rebuilding our previous community landscape, but revitalizing it.
When we "Think tnereffiD" we believe we might change the world. We encourage difference in thought, and advocate for the publicity of innovative voices, collectively cultivating downtown to an urban space linked by our individual and collective values. If we are courageous enough to follow what we believe in then we just might achieve what we believe.
