DNA is making residents of downtown Pittsburgh’s dreams finally come true, as the opening of the grocery store will be at 817 Liberty Avenue. 

Looking for a new way to soak up Summer in Pittsburgh? Say hello to Shore Thing, a floating river barge turned hangout spot docked on the Allegheny River! This creative project, launched by Pittsburgh nonprofit Riverlife, brings together food, drinks, music, art, and wellness… All on the water!

On Tuesday, July 15, the Downtown Neighbors Alliance officially launched the Living Well Initiative (LWI) with an inspiring kickoff event at the UFC Wellness Facility. The evening was a vibrant celebration of community, wellness, and a shared vision for a healthier Downtown Pittsburgh.

The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership (PDP) is bringing back the Peoples Gas Holiday Market™ for its 14th season this November, celebrating the sights, sounds, and spirit of the holidays in Downtown.

The Cultural District will host a Gallery Crawl, a multi-venue open house, showcasing Pittsburgh’s dynamic art and entertainment scene.

Calling all film fans! Harris Theater is showing classic, foreign, and contemporary films all summer long. In its history, the Harris Theater was called Art Cinema and was the first moving picture house in Pittsburgh.

OpenStreetsPGH is back in downtown Pittsburgh! OpenStreetsPGH is a free community event that allows people to walk, run, bike, and explore spaces that would usually be used for motor vehicles.

Exciting news, Pittsburghers: the Living Well Initiative kicks off today at 6PM! Head to the Market Square UFC Gym for this free event and hear how DNA pledges to make downtown living healthier and happier. 

On July 9th, Mayor Ed Gainey, the Downtown Neighbors Alliance, and Huntington Bank welcomed our newest downtown resident, Katie Rotz, with a DNA welcome basket filled with an array of perks and gifts from Downtown restaurants and businesses.

It’s got that cozy-but-cool vibe, complete with a real, wood-burning brick oven that anchors the entire space—and trust me, you can smell the goodness the moment you walk in.

Maybe it’s a beautiful golden hour photo of Downtown, a moody shot of morning traffic along Grant Street, or a quick pic of one of Pittsburgh’s iconic bridges. There’s only 8 days until the LWI Kickoff! DNA’s Living Well Initiative Kickoff is next week, and everyone’s invited. From 6-7:30, Downtown residents will gather at the UFC Gym in Market Square to learn more about this initiative’s plan to make Downtown a healthier place.
