Picklesburgh is back and better than ever! Coming this summer, Picklesburgh is ready to celebrate all things pickles Downtown. For this year, the festival is bringing back its Thursday start day, so the event spans over four days from July 16-19. Picklesburgh will run from 12-10 pm on Thursday through Saturday, and on Sunday from 12-6 pm.

This April, the previous Hefren-Tillotson headquarters at 308 Seventh Ave will open a new art gallery! Yang Zhang, a TGY Investments partner, has been working alongside Radiant Hall leadership for four years to make the art nonprofit gallery a reality. 

Thursday, March 12th, Howl at the Moon and the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf are coming together to host Shamrocks and Rolls the ‘Burgh! A night filled with live entertainment (ASL interpreted), good drinks, and amazing food!

Everyone’s favorite Downtown ice skating rink will sadly be wrapping up its season on March 1. The UPMC Rink at PPG Place has been open for winter fun since November 14, but if you haven’t skated yet, now is the final time to show off your Olympic-worthy skills in the 2025-26 season.

The Heinz History Center has once again been named the No. 1 history museum in the country! This is the third consecutive year that the museum has been recognized for this title. The recognition celebrates the museum’s dedication to inspiring audiences and preserving regional history.

The David L. Lawrence Convention Center is expected to receive a new hotel addition very soon! Pennsylvania State Senator Wayne D. Fontana, who has been spearheading this project, announced that negotiations are still being made as they close in on a deal.

Attend the August Wilson African American Cultural Center (AWAACC) Truthsayers: Nia Sioux event, part of the Truthsayers Speaker Series, on February 27th at 7:00 p.m. for $35 to hear Nia Sioux, a New York Times best-selling author, talk about her life. You can even have a chance to meet her during her book signing.
