This evening has become a signature event for the city, bringing together business, philanthropic, and public sector leaders to celebrate the collective progress made in revitalizing the city.

On Monday, May 5, Sushi I officially opened its doors at 245 Fourth Avenue, marking its arrival with a lively grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony. Community leaders, downtown advocates, and hungry sushi fans all turned out to welcome the city's newest all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant—and it’s clear this isn’t just a new place to grab dinner. It’s part of a growing vision for the future of Downtown.

PAIR Charcuterie, located at The Pitt Building, is a cafe featuring coffee, baked goods, and uniquely assembled charcuterie boards. PAIR was founded in 2022 by Shaquala Swinton-Betts, a local entrepreneur. This adored Downtown business is open 8-3 PM Monday through Friday. The coffeeshop has dozens of five-star reviews, nearly 2000 followers on Instagram, and over 500 followers on Facebook.
